What Type of Camera?

Hello, Lovelies

When I was young, my family members were always taking photos of my siblings and I when I least wanted them to. Family birthday parties or holidays were always a prime time for them to take photos of the family. Still is. So, I hated it. I would have to hold up my presents while my grandma, aunts, and mom took photos all while fake smiling. They all used point and shoot cameras with flash so most of the pictures have red eye, and looking back, I hate how I look in most of the photographs.

Other than that, I have always been interested in photography(but not always in front of the camera). My first camera was a polaroid. I believe I got it for Christmas when I was six years old. I would take a photo and a tiny picture about the size of my thumb would come out. I received my next camera in 5th grade from my grandma. It was a standard point and shoot camera that took three new batteries to take a handful of photos. Most of which didn’t turn out.

Last year I bought myself a Canon EOS Rebel T3 for my birthday. I have been using it in manual mode for about ten months and trying to learn tips and tricks to taking better photos for my family. Also, I have two other blogs that I used to post photos. One is more fashion and style related while the other is more of a lifestyle blog where I posted Project 365 photos. I also have an Instagram account I post photos on.

All About Me

Hello, Lovelies

Today I answered ten random questions about myself. They are:

1. What is your favorite home cooked meal?
My favorite home cooked meal would have to be my dad’s mashed potatoes, corn, and garlic bread.

2. Why were you given your name?
People ask me all the time who chose my name when I was born and why. My dad picked my name. He said he just liked the name Holly and it was just a coincidence that our last name is Wood. If he purposely wanted a daughter named Holly Wood, he would have named my older sister Holly.

3. Which animal would you most like for your pet?
Everybody knows that I am a crazy cat lady in the making, and I have always wanted a kitten named Louise Pronto for a pet. Lately I have also been obsessed with fluffy, little guinea pigs. I fell in love with a cute guinea pig at the pet shop a little while ago. Although I couldn’t buy her, I named her Flower.

4. What are you really afraid of?
My entire life I have been afraid of having surgery. I’m sure it will be inevitable, but I am afraid that if I have surgery I will die on the operating table. Morbid, I know.

5. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with?
I have always loved traveling and seeing new places. It is difficult for me to choose just one place to travel to because I want to go everywhere (except Antarctica. It is way too cold). I might choose Aruba or somewhere in Europe. Probably somewhere warm. As for who I would go with, I would take either my boyfriend or my dad with me on the adventure.

6. What famous person would you like to meet and why?
That are not really any famous people I would like to meet. On the other hand, I wouldn’t mind meeting one of my favorite authors (Sarah Dessen, Jodi Picoult, John Green). I love their books, and I am sure I would have a great time if I was able to meet them.

7. If you could be given ANY gift, what would it be?
If I could be given any gift, I would be given a house. I wouldn’t choose the biggest, most expensive house. Actually, I would want the opposite. I would choose a fixer upper that I could make my own. Therefore, I would also be given the money needed to fix up my house.

8. What is the ultimate gift to give?
I love giving thoughtful homemade gifts. Making a gift is so much more meaningful to me to give and receive than a store bought gift. Writing is a hobby and passion of mine; I like to give the power of words as gifts. It is personal and special.

9. Which flavor ice cream do you prefer?
I would say that my favorite ice cream flavor is cappuccino chocolate chip. So, so good! Runner up to that is vanilla topped with frozen blueberries.

10. Favorite season and why?
My favorite season is early Autumn. I love all the events in fall such as football games and colorguard practices. The weather is just right most of the time (warm and sunny during the day while being cooler at night), and I love the fall fashion. I also really like late spring.

That's it for this post. Thanks for reading.
